I am currently competing in my 5th season of wheelchair racing after suffering a spinal cord injury in 1997. I have competed at four B.C. Summer Games (Victoria 2000, Nanaimo 2002, Abbotsford 2004 and Kamloops 2006) as well as at the Canada Summer Games in London, Ontario in 2001. I have been racing locally within the WC Race Series competing in events including track meets, 10km road races, half marathons and full marathons. It is my ultimate goal to represent Canada at The Paralympics at London in 20012. I also volunteer my time at the weekly track night, to help grow the sport of wheelchair racing.

Outside of wheelchair racing I am finishing my Bachelor of Social Work Degree through the University of Victoria with the hope of working on a Masters Degree in the future. I also volunteer at Canuck Place Children’s Hospice where I work as a Family Support volunteer, Bereavement Group volunteer and Volunteer Leadership Team member. I have been at the Hospice for four years working with children living with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
